Voor de mensen die zitten te wachten op DAB in 2014 gaat Renault met een module komen die achter de radio geprikt kan worden zie bericht uit Engeland:
Renault has revealed that it will start fitting DAB radios as standard on its models from 2014 onwards.
The new Trafic and Twingo cars will be the first to boast the digital technology, giving drivers access to 20 pre-set national channels.
Other core features will include voice guidance (in auto DAB mode), as well as access to a technical helpline should there be a problem.
Owners of existing Renaults dating back to 2008 will also be able to upgrade to a DAB system, which is supplied by Connect2, for the price of £240. This is regardless of whether or not the vehicle features in-built satellite navigation or infotainment systems, such as Carminat TomTom, MediaNav or R-Link.
The device simply attaches to the back of the radio, behind the dashboard, and even works in conjunction with steering wheel controls, where available.
"The majority of drivers spend a significant time in their cars and vans, for business, for pleasure, or even both," said Mark Crockett, director of services and quality at Renault UK.
"Our complete digital radio offer now provides a simple, cost effective way for our current and near future Renault owners to enjoy the many benefits of digital radio, on a daily basis, at a very competitive price."
